Isaiah 29:8 reads, “In that day the deaf will hear the words of the scroll, and out of gloom and darkness the eyes of the blind will see.” This verse has given me such grief for many years. Every time I heard it, it felt like a thorn in my side. My youngest son, Aric, is deaf. Finding out Aric was deaf was no big deal.
