I remember thirty years ago, I was sitting in my old home church listening to Reverend Ayo, an African evangelist, preaching about being careful with the words that come out of your mouth. Humans are made of three things: spirit, soul and body. The spirit has five faculties: hope, faith, reverence, prayer and worship. There are two types of hope: human and divine. Humanity is carnal, sinful in nature. Therefore, it is imperfect. Human hope common to all human societies is optimistic desire. There is no guarantee with human hope. Recently my friend and I had a conversation about abundance. I'm in a space where my faith is wavering due to my 13 month unemployment status and my perpetual left sided handicap due to stroke.
