Be encouraged by Moses’ parents. Imagine how difficult it was to hide a three month old baby. I love how Moses’ parents acted in faith. They were not scared of the king. They saw that Moses was not an ordinary child, and they needed to take extra measures to protect him.
Do you have a child that does not look “ordinary”? Can you see (perceive with any of your senses, notice, discern, discover and examine) as Moses’ parents saw, that your child is not “ordinary” but special because of the Lord. Use all your senses, given by our Lord, to see what your child might specifically need.
Let His mighty Spirit show you what your child’s needs are. We have two sons, and one of them has many physical special needs. It takes us two hours to get him ready every morning so he can independently move in his powered wheelchair. We know how extraordinary each of our boys are.
We have always known our God has a specific plan for each of our boys and we tell them He does! We have hidden our children away in prayer. Our children have special needs, whether they are physical, social or spiritual. Do you have a special need? Ask God to hide you away and protect you because He sees you are no ordinary child. You are extraordinary!
Step out in faith and hide your child/children in prayer from the enemy’s attack, just as Moses’ parents did. You are raising a Moses!
Memory Verse:
“By faith Moses’ parents hid him for three months after he was born, because they saw he was no ordinary child, and they were not afraid of the king’s edict.”
-Hebrews 11:23 (NIV)
Prayer Prompt:
“Living God! You are the King, and I need Your wisdom, guidance and power to raise my extraordinary child/children. I come before You in faith believing that You will surround me with Your grace. Help me to perceive how I can better raise my children….”
