This answer is different for every woman. If it’s not a husband or boyfriend, maybe it’s your dad or brother. We all want to hear and know that the men in our lives adore us. But, can we recognize it when it comes? After reading Gary Chapman’s book, The Five Love Languages, I was armed with new knowledge on how my fiancé and I could better express our love to each other. However, six years and two children later, I still need to be reminded.
In my case, my man doesn’t spill out a million sweet words every day reassuring me verbally that he loves me. He does, though, lock the door when I nap so little girls won’t come wake me up, and he tries to always do the handy things around the house the same day I ask him. These are just two simple ways my husband shows me with his actions that he loves me. Some days when I really need to hear it, I’ll tell him so.
But mostly it does me good to look for the ways he is showing me through his love language. Here’s the point. Men don’t always express their love to us the way we would do it ourselves. The men God has put in our lives are able to express love in a different ways, thereby, showing us the different sides of our Heavenly Father. Celebrate the differences and look for ways your man might be saying, “Hey, I love you!”
Memory Verse:
