Hope

Hope!!! What a word! It almost brings tears to my eyes to even think about the meaning of that word!  It’s amazing how a four letter word truly changes everything. I will never forget the day that our little boy cried out for help. He was yelling at the top of his lungs, “Mommy! HELP! HELP!”

I couldn’t get to his rescue fast enough. Once I got there and checked out the damage and realized that he was fine, God so sweetly decided to teach me a life changing lesson. When Jackson was yelling “help” it actually sounded like he was yelling “HOPE.” (He doesn’t pronounce his L’s very well).

I, of course, started crying because I realized what God was trying to teach me! So many times during a trial or a trouble we stand there and yell, “HELP! HELP! HELP!” If we could be quiet and listen, I believe God is saying back to us, “HOPE, HOPE, HOPE!” It’s amazing to me that our Heavenly Father desires to give us HOPE when we are in the midst of needing HELP! Now anytime I am in need of HELP, I focus on my Savior and cry out for HOPE!!!

I don’t know what you’re going through, but let your heart cry HOPE. God will bring your HOPE along with your HELP!!!

“God, may I remember in the middle of my needing help that You always bring hope, no matter what my situation might be! I want to find hope in You, Lord! Thank You for using our children to teach us life changing lessons. Help me to find hope in the situation of…”
